Hamilton & Charlotte Counseling Programs Now CACREP Accredited
We are delighted to announce that in July 2019, the MA in Counseling programs at both the Hamilton and Charlotte campuses were granted CACREP accreditation in addition to our existing accreditation through ATS.
CACREP is a nationally recognized agency that accredits graduate-level counseling programs; CACREP affirms those programs have undergone rigorous review and have met the standards of excellence required in the field of professional counseling.
Because three federal agencies (the Veteran’s Administration, TRICARE, and Army Substance Abuse) and many state agencies now require a CACREP accredited degree for licensure, this achievement means our graduates will be more marketable and ready to impact the field of professional counseling—all while thinking theologically, engaging globally, and living biblically.
“Gaining CACREP approval for our counseling programs at Charlotte and Hamilton is major step forward for Gordon-Conwell and will help us advance Christ and his kingdom. Great work, counseling teams who achieved this milestone!”
