Julie Nichols | Assistant Dean of Students

Hometown: Manchester, TN
Degree: B.A. from Rhodes College (Memphis, TN); MA from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary (S. Hamilton, MA)
Hobbies: Walking/hiking, kayaking, photography, reading, trying new things, spending time with friends
Favorite Spot on the North Shore: Rafe’s Chasm, Magnolia, MA

Julie is a Southern girl from Tennessee who returned to the North to serve as the Assistant Dean of Students a few years after finishing her degree at GCTS. Before returning to GCTS, Julie served in student life at a Christian college in Tennessee where she also served as adjunct faculty in the department of Bible and Theology. She is not a fan of New England winters but thinks the summers are absolutely glorious especially when enjoying time at the beach!

 

Sue McNamara | SLS Administrative Assistant

Hometown: Falls Church, VA
Degrees: B.A. in Psychology (James Madison University), M.A. in Rehabilitation Counseling, with a specialization in Psychiatric Rehabilitation (Boston University)
Hobbies: Fun with friends, reading, movies, needlework, making jewelry
Favorite Spot on the North Shore: Marblehead, Rockport, Newburyport, Portsmouth–just about any harbor town!

Sue grew up living in Virginia and has spent half of her life in the Boston area after getting a job at Boston University, where she continues to work part-time. As a new believer, Sue is passionate about learning about her faith and is running to catch up! She wanted to work among other Christians, and Gordon-Conwell seemed like the ideal place!

 

Jason Strzepek | Manager of Housing & Transitional Services

Degrees: B.A. in History from Gordon College, M.A.in Theology from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary

Favorite Spot on the North Shore: Good Harbor Beach, Gloucester, MA

Jason Strzepek is the Manager of Housing and Transitional Services, overseeing all on-campus housing for students and guests as well as assisting students with off-campus housing and their transitions to and from the seminary. His family has lived in Massachusetts, Japan, and Costa Rica, and served 11 years as missionaries to Costa Rica. Jason and his wife Jessica have 5 creative children, 3 of which are home-schooled. The Strzepeks enjoy the outdoors, good food, and time with friends.

 

C. Dodge | Director/Chief, Dept. of Public Safety, Campus Safety

First Year at Gordon-Conwell: 1994
Degrees: B.S. in Criminal Justice Administration and M.S. in Administrative Studies with a sub concentration in Organizational Policy

The Director and Chief of the Department of Public Safety, Campus Safety, Mr. Dodge, has been a member of the Gordon-Conwell Community for over 25 years, serving the community as campus police officer, campus safety officer; and for the past 13 years as Director and Chief of Public Safety.

Mr. Dodge has over 38 years experience in public and private law enforcement, serving as a municipal police officer and school resource officer for 22 years while also actively working in private sector law enforcement for a defense contractor, healthcare provider, and in higher education. Mr. Dodge is also a Massachusetts licensed private detective.

Mr. Dodge is a Massachusetts police academy graduate and was one of the first police officers in the New England region to obtain his N.A.S.R.O. certification as a National Practitioner, School Resource Officer (SRO).

Mr. Dodge’s primary interest as a law enforcement officer has always been school and workplace safety! At all places of employment Mr. Dodge has been involved with the community he serves through educational outreach programs to emergency response planning. Mr. Dodge is always available to speak with a member of the Gordon-Conwell community when it comes to your safety and security – please feel free to reach out to him or any member of the Campus Safety Department/Team.
