The Pastor’s Retreat and Study Week is an invitation from the Shoemaker Center for Church Renewal to bring your own project to Gordon-Conwell and join pastors from around New England and beyond for a week-long study leave. With a little help from us, you can enjoy the beauty of the Gordon-Conwell campus and take advantage of its resources. The Pastor’s Study and Retreat Week offers a full plate of opportunity at a “brown bag” price.
The Pastor’s Retreat and Study Week is run concurrently with the Doctor of Ministry Thesis Writing Workshop. Some events will include the DMin Thesis Writing Workshop participants.
The purpose of the Retreat week is to provide an environment for pastors to have a week-long study leave. The program is minimally structured so you may utilize the seminary’s resources to spend time studying, resting and as a personal retreat. Meet other pastors from around the country to share about ministry during our lunch roundtable discussions and interact with Gordon-Conwell faculty.
Registration for the Pastor’s Retreat and Study Week includes four nights at a local hotel, five lunches on campus, and coffee and snacks provided throughout the day.

Regular Registration (After July 15) $495
Program Only (no housing) $175
Spouse (with Reg Registration) $ 80
If you need additional rooms beyond the four nights included (Monday-Thursday night), you must contact the hotel directly at 978-777-6222. If you live locally but would like to participate in the sabbatical without the housing option, please register for the program-only option.
If your spouse is joining you for the week and would like to participate in the program, please register them under the spouse rate. Lunch and snacks are included in the cost for the spouse rate.

Due to the planning involved with the program, cancellations must be received by July 22 to receive a refund less a $20 processing fee. Cancellations requests received by July 26 will be refunded 50%. Cancellations made after July 29 will not be refunded.
The program will take place at the Hamilton campus of Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. Registration will be held on Monday, August 5 in Academic Center Room 348. Snacks are provided throughout the day in the Ockenga Atrium. Lunches are provided in the Dining Hall with the lunch discussions taking place in a Kerr building classroom.
